Karima Karmouzi is the founder and driving force behind IKASU. Native to Casablanca, she grew up in a family that owned a clothing factory with a retail space, where she developed a love for fashion and textiles. Karima left Morocco at the age of 17 to pursue her studies in Paris and London. In 2016, she moved to Dubai, where she worked in PR and communications for luxury and tech brands. Her passion for sports and the transformative impact it had on her life inspired her to launch IKASU, a brand dedicated to empowering women to embrace fitness and share a message of positivity through her vibrant, colorful, and playful athleisure line.

Karima's childhood holidays in Marrakech significantly influenced her collections, infusing them with the city’s lively spirit. Her travels around the world, especially to India, have also been incredibly special, channeling her love for color. Women from all corners of the globe inspire her, and their resilience, beauty, and independent spirit deeply resonate with her.

A lover of tennis and swimming, Karima has enjoyed these sports since childhood, associating them with freedom and joy. She draws inspiration from the women around her, as well as from architecture, music, travels, and pop art, which is reflected in the DNA of IKASU.
